An Honorable Foe

A decimated Ms. Victory was stretched out on her side and motionless. Iska laid down in front of her. "Darling," she said in a Russian accent, "I gave you the choice to surrender. You refused and now you’ve paid the price for your stubborness." Iska straightened up. Resting on her knees, she pulled Ms. Victory’s head up with a handful of hair. Her other hand unmasked her. She casually tossed aside the mask and let go of her grasp. Ms. Victory’s head hit the cold stones with a thud. A faint moan escaped her lips.

"Because you were a honorable foe, I grant you the chance to wake up and recover your mask before you are discovered." She stood up and walked away, genuinely curious as to Ms. Victory’s resilience.
