To Whiplash, the unconscious damsel suspended from the floor in chains, Esmeralda, or rather her capture, had been the source of the bounty that she had taken. Her pursuit of Esmeralda ended in her own capture.  At present she was the object of accomplishment for which Esmeralda was gruffly congratulating Erica.
